As part of an illustration workshop I attended, we had to create Riso print postcards in response to our favourite films, which was made up of two colours; blue and red. For my print, the film I chose was ‘Chalet Girl’, therefore I drew the chalet featured in the film with the trees in the background. I think that the technique used was effective as it is an easier way of creating the same effect as a screen print. This means that the lines are sharp which contrasts well against the trees in the background. The only problem with this print is that due to someone else’s print not lining up, neither did mine, and I think that it would have looked a lot better and effective overall to conform to the brief of a postcard if it was lined up accurately.
